1. Are there any restrictions for tandem skydive?

 You must be at least 16 years of age (bring ID). Below age of 18, you must have written parents consent for tandem skydive. Your weight should be below 120 kg and you are in normal physical shape. (tandem instructors have the right of discretion with passenger selection and might have extra fee for person above 90 kg.)

2. Is skydiving dangerous?

 The danger is relative. Tandem skydives are conducted from aircraft, few kilometers above the ground. Statistically, skydiving is very safe sport. The biggest advantage of tandem skydive, in comparison to other adrenalin filled sports and activities, is the environment that it's taking place. The environment is SKY, the biggest 3D "playground" in the world, without obstacles and dangers of hitting something solid. In more than 50 years of development and evolution, parachutes and equipment have reached top level of endurance and safety.

3. Is skydiving safe?

 Skydiving equipment is manufactured by most strict skydiving standards. Equipment maintenance and packing is conducted by skydiving tandem instructors with  globally recognized licences. Reserve parachutes are packed with special attention and extra care. They are repacked in standard time intervals, regardless if it wasn't opened on a skydive.  Skydiving is potentially risky activity, as the same is considered for driving a car. All the steps are being conducted to provide u maximal security in the air and while on airport. Tandem instructors obligation is to make all necessary steps and procedures for safe tandem skydive. All this with goal, to provide you with best  impressions and unique smile after a tandem skydive.

4. What is the feeling in freefall?

 It's impossible to describe the feeling. There are just not enough words. Same answer will get people who ask you after your tandem skydive. The best answer would be: "You have to try this!". After experiencing the freedom of flight and freefall, you might get to following conclusions: now i know why birds sing, life is beautiful and similar. Enhanced awareness of your surroundings, taking the control and that step out of the aircraft, will have only positive influence on other aspects of your life.

5. What if parachute doesn't open?

 Parachute failures, in sense of  irregular openings, are very rare. Nevertheless, all parachute systems have two (2) parachutes: main and reserve parachute. If there is malfunction on the main parachute on a tandem skydive, it's tandem instructor's job and task to open the reserve with proper procedure.

6. What if both parachutes fail to open?

 Honestly, there is no need to worry about that situation. Statistically, there is greater probability for you to die in car accident on the way to airport, crossing the street or winning jackpot on lotto! Safety aspect of tandem skydive is the most important element of entire experience. Eliminating factors of potential risks and awareness of dangers that might happen, proven skills and experience of tandem instructor, are sufficient  postulates for safe tandem skydive jump.

7. What is exit altitude and how long is freefall?

 Exit altitude is from 2500 to 4000+ meters (8000-13000 ft) and freefall duration is 30-60 seconds, depending on passenger weight and height. After parachute deployment on 1500 meters (5000ft), canopy flight lasts 5-7 minutes, while you enjoy fascinating view from that altitude. With prior agreement, tandem instructor might give you the chance to fly the parachute.

8. How long is the flight to jump altitude?

 Dependant on aircraft type, flight to the altitude is 15-30 minutes. Passengers on first jump have the feeling of time passing by faster.

9. How does landing look like?

During your introduction and preparation, instructor will show you proper procedure for landing. It's basically lifting your legs just before landing so he can land first and alleviate eventual dynamic force. Applying the standard landing manoeuvre, landings are more or less "soft".

10. Can tandem skydive be recorded?

Yes. Most of tandem instructors have option of video recording the jump. Every cameraman has it's own service specification, which can differ in small details.
If your video is making cameraman of Skokpadobranom crew, you'll get set of digital photos, HD video of preparations, flight, freefall and landing. You get your video of the tandem skydive in desired format, delivered on your address. For your memories, you'll get irreplaceable footage from preparations till landing.

11. How is the skydive recorded?

Experienced skydiver with video camera on his helmet becomes active part of the skydive and entire event. He will be ready on the outside of the airplane and in agreement with instructor, together you exit the airplane. Familiar face in the air is proven to be positive factor while exiting and during freefall.

12. What if i'm scared of heights?

Bigger part of the fear of heights (acrophobia) has to do with object perception which are still or in relative movement. On 3000m, the ground is far away and you can say you're long way above everything. Perception changes from the one standing on high balcony where you can see objects below and estimate the distance. Above 700m, ground becomes too distant and problem with acrophobia disappears.

13. What if i wear glasses or contact lenses?

While skydiving, all skydivers wear special protective eye wear, goggles, which provide protection and normal vision during freefall. On your tandem skydive, tandem master provides you with goggles and you can wear glasses or contacts underneath.

14. Is there a feeling of decadence in freefall?

 Only at very beginning of the skydive. Passenger and instructor accelerate up to terminal velocity in around 10 seconds. After that, there is air resistance, which is substantial at 200 km/h, gives the feeling of "laying" on the "airbed".

15. What if i'm scared of flying?

We are all afraid of unknown and foreign things. Being scared is one of essential parts of tandem skydives, at least at beginning. During preparations for tandem skydive, you will get enough information and answers to all your questions. It will lift your confidence and keep the fear at minimum. 16. What should i wear?

 For tandem skydives is mandatory to have long sleeved clothes, even in summer. Tandem instructor will provide a jumpsuit. Best choice is comfortable sport clothes and sneakers.

17. How much time is required for tandem skydive?

Depending on number of people doing tandem skydives on that day, distance from the airport you arranged for the jump. It's best to make it a one day trip, with obligation to come to airport at pre-arranged time. If you wait on the jump, you will enjoy airport activities, fresh air and nature around.

18. Will i have a good time?
 
You will experience one of the best and definitely one of most exciting events in your life! Proficiency of tandem skydive is incomparable. We have to warn you that you might want to do it again or decide to become a skydiver.

19. Can i bring my friends, family along?

Of course. They can observe your preparation and the skydive from the ground, enjoy the nature and other airport activities. After your tandem skydive, they might get a desire to also make the jump.
